Wakened by silence (2002)

Wakened by silence was created by digitally treating field recordings of insects made in the hill country outside Austin, Texas.

It was first presented in 5.1 surround sound for the SST: Surround Sound Transmissions show in May of 2002.

The piece was co-sponsored by an award from the Seattle Arts Commission.
