You are not in confronts issues of identity and privacy by playing back found answering machine messages through telephones.

The voyeuristic act of listening to someone else's messages gives us a clear impression of a person's identity through the negative space created by messages from their parents, creditors, friends, and stalkers.

We attempt to spy on someone's life and, in doing so, assume their identity like a Halloween mask.
