What is Escardrone? Only a revolutionary way to listen to music. Tiny solar-powered turntables are mounted on snails and set loose in your garden. Turn any outdoor space into a music hall. The basic kit comes with 10 snails, 10 turntable systems, and your choice of 15 mini records. Choose from the tracks above: download them all to sample.

The two brekekekexkoaxkoax tracks are simulated mixes of 17 turntable snails playing in a front garden in Austin, Texas on a sunny day as a listener slowly walks through the garden. Listen on headphones for better 3D imaging. Clouds and local conditions may effect actual listening experience.

Colin Sheffield, head honcho at Elevator Bath, is putting out the first release by yours truly and Sean O’Neill, which has become a handy soundtrack to the end of the world.

(eeaoa046) LP

Alex Keller and Sean O’Neill have created performances and installation pieces together since 2015. Using field recordings, vintage telephone test equipment, and magnetic oscillators, among other tools, their work addresses the agents and artifacts of change in the urban (and acoustic) realms. The resultant audio is a potent brew, seamlessly merging drone, musique concrète, phonography, and various electronic intrusions.

Phonography Austin is a new organization dedicated to exploring phonography (the creation and presentation of field recordings as art objects) and acoustic ecology (the study of the effects of the acoustic environment on those living within it).

Laura Brackney is currently musically focused on composing, teaching, improvising with Leaf Chimes, and studying Javanese relational structures.

Josh Ronsen‘s (brekekekexkoaxkoax) activites span a variety of different creative media (e.g. writing, visual art, performance art, comic strips, zines, acting and collecting cat purrs), as well as different genres within those parent media. Some of his many involvements include the audio project brekekekekexkoaxkoax, the sound culture magazine Monk Mink Pink Punk, LSJ, and the Tiny Art Exchange.

Alex Keller and Sean O’Neill have in collaborated in performance and installation pieces since 2015. Using field recordings, vintage telephone test equipment, magnetic oscillators, light and space, their work has addressed the agents and artifacts of change in the urban and acoustic realms. In 2017, they will release an LP called Kruos on the Elevator Bath label, and a CD called LCLX on the Mimeomeme label.
